Acreditaciones
Las acreditaciones reconocen la idoneidad de un laboratorio para ejecutar pruebas específicas y son concedidas para lugares en particular. Organismos voluntarios acreditan a los laboratorios dentro de su jurisdicción. Cada organismo mantiene acuerdos de reconocimiento mutuo con otros organismos de acreditación para ayudar en el servicio a la comunidad internacional.
Allí donde ha estado a nuestro alcance, hemos suministrado una conexión de red con el organismo de acreditación para más información. En algunos casos, hemos sido capaces de conectar a una página que delimite nuestro ámbito específico. En los casos en que una multiplicidad de laboratorios se encuentren acreditados por el mismo organismo, se indica el certificado de acreditación o el número de laboratorio.

Certificaciones/Registros
La certificación/registro se produce cuando un tercero proporciona garantía por escrito de que un producto, servicio, sistema, proceso o material se ajusta a requisitos específicos. Los ejemplos mejor conocidos son la certificación de sistemas de gestión de calidad y sistemas de gestión ambiental, ajustándose respectivamente a los estándares de la ISO 9000 e ISO 14000.
